The Internal Communications Specialist will support the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications in the planning, development, and execution of strategic internal and employee communications plans for FUJIFILM Holdings Americas Corporation, the regional headquarters for the Americas.

The individual will act as an in-house reporter seeking to tell compelling stories from across the diverse Fujifilm network to drive employee engagement. The Internal Communications Specialist will develop internal articles to share news and views from across the network on company updates, employee benefits, success stories, the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability efforts, and updates to help keep employees safe and healthy. In addition, this role will support Fujifilm leaders in their communications to employees, as well as communications for change management activities. The individual should have a strong background in research, interviewing and fact gathering to help shape a story, and have the ability to adapt writing style for the audience.

This position is hybrid, based out of the Valhalla, NY area. Could consider fully remote for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and creation of strategic and comprehensive internal communications plans for employee engagement. Lead in copywriting and development of internal articles for Fujifilm’s Americas employees.
  • Plan, develop and manage content calendars for various internal newsletters.
  • Write and edit internal articles about business updates, success stories, and company news for Fujifilm’s internal newsletters, intranet and company-wide magazine.
  • Manage and direct content for the company-wide intranet to build employee engagement and morale.
  • Seek out storytelling opportunities across the organization, identify individuals within the organization to interview and draft articles for an internal audience.
  • Distill complex and technical information into easy-to-understand, short, and relatable communications for a diverse employee audience.
  • Provide direction to internal creative team on developing multimedia content to bolster written stories.
  • Support planning, copywriting, and scripting, for internal meetings, town halls and events. Support the Manager, Corporate Communications in the communication and collaboration for employee and CSR events.
  • Support corporate communications manager in developing and formatting internal memos, employee communications, and related copy for change management communications.
  • Work collaboratively with peers in various functions, regions and business units, to develop/coordinate effective communications programs.
  • Evaluate results and implement any changes for the highest value outcomes.
  • Support content development for employee storytelling across social media channels.
  • Create relevant employee/CSR social media content to drive employee recruiting, retention and engagement.
  • Development of employee-related content for social media channels.
  • Build the strategic plan, gain approvals and develop content for use on social media channels.
  • Evaluate results and implement any changes for the highest value outcomes.
  • Liaise with other members of the Corporate Communications department to develop content for internal employee publications. Provide support for departmental initiatives, events, and/or programs across the company’s portfolio.
  • Travel to Valhalla, NY is required 4x a year for an individual in a remote position.

Required Skills/Education

  • 1 – 3 years experience copywriting
  • A bachelor's degree (preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations, or Journalism) is required
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Desired Skills

  • Basic understanding of HTML for development of internal newsletters and updating company intranet.
  • Knowledge of publishing to the SharePoint intranet platform.
