Insurance Specialist – Full Time (Day Shift – Weekday – No Holidays)

About the Role:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Claim submission and follow-up with insurance plans
• Work with patients and insurance companies to resolve coverage and/or denial issues
• Payment posting to accounts
• Prior Authorization for professional and clinical services
• Follow-up with self-pay accounts to ensure payments are following Krohn Clinic Payment Policy
• Responsible for researching and analyzing payments to ensure accuracy and following up with the insurance company regarding discrepancies
• Responsible for running month end reports and generating patient statements

We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual to work in our Insurance department.

• Strong computer and technical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Prior Medical Billing/Insurance knowledge
• Integrity and confidentiality are essential

Flexible Schedule:

• 5+ 8 hour shifts with a half day off per week

Work is performed in an office environment.

Desired Education, Certifications and/or Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience working in Medical Billing/Insurance is preferred
