• Compiles insurance-related news clips nationally to create and distribute daily news clips to clients
• Remotely covers meetings of various Florida state agencies, federal agencies and national insurance organizations, and insurance rule hearings, and assists in covering state legislative meetings; summarizes key points into reports provided to clients
• Maintains distribution lists for key industry clients
• Manages bill disclosure lists for insurance lobbyists
• Composes and edits insurance communications, including weekly regulatory and legislative reports, special alerts, and notices on issues such as insurance-related court rulings, rule hearings, state and federal legislative, as well as national insurance association meetings and the actions taken
• Reviews all Florida bills filed to identify those pertinent to insurance interests through Lobbytools tracking service
• Assists in setting meetings and preparing documents for national insurance conferences (at least three times a year)

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor, and presentation
• Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively
• Critical thinker with the ability to shift priorities and manage change with a positive outcome

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
• Four years minimum past experience with insurance terminology and concepts; legal experience is preferred
• Knowledge of basic insurance terms and general concepts
• Strong technology skills including past experience with computer newsletter development
• Proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
