The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at The University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time instructor to begin August 2023. This individual will teach and serve as program director for the department’s online learning program. This involves answering inquiries from prospective students, advising current students, approving course revisions, liaising with the university’s online staff, approving transfer credits, evaluating online instructors, overseeing course curriculum and course scheduling, and similar tasks. This position carries a three-year renewable contract. Candidates with a Master’s degree or J.D. will be considered, but a Ph.D. in a social science discipline related to the study of crime and justice is preferred.
