Instructors will employ approved instructional methods, research, and develop training materials to conduct training. Set up classroom facilities, distributes handouts, and conducts classroom exercises. Respond to participant questions.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing trainings for multiple audiences to include but not limited to non-prior service applicants, prior service applicants, current Soldiers in their ETS (end of time in service), Officer and Specialty Branch applicants. The sales training system shall capture current industry processes and methodologies tailored to fit ARNG recruiting and retention requirements.
  • Responsible for analyzing the current Government provided sales training curriculum for relevancy and updating sales training material based on client requirements.
  • Will update course materials to reflect recruitment and retention industry standards and relevance to the current operational environment.
  • Will observe the presentation of the current sales training curriculum as part of the analysis process to minimize the amount of development hours spent on updating course materials.
  • Will conduct a thorough analysis of the past (Version 1-3) training materials to get a better understanding of the Strength Maintenance Philosophy of Recruiting, Retention and Attrition Management. Perform an analysis of perishable skills.
  • Instructors will utilize the Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) process for all course curriculum development and updates. ADDIE is a framework used to organize and manage educational programs. ADDIE organizes all course and curriculum development activities using a disciplined process that ensures classroom instruction accomplishes the institution's educational purpose.
  • Instructors will utilize the current NGB provided sales system and develop a revised training curriculum necessary to meet established industry standards. Instructors will utilize a virtual platform similar to SharePoint to deliver all training material
  • Instructors will develop and conduct an initial on-site training and instructor certification event. The training shall be conducted onsite for SMTB, and the location is anticipated to be at Government provided facilities at Little Rock, AR. The training shall be conducted for no more than 5 business days.
  • Instructors will ensure training delivery methods are consistent with the program and target audience by conducting an initial certification program.
  • Instructors develop and provide an initial training program for approximately 48 Instructors within 330 days of task order start date.
  • Instructors will present a Certificate of Training to all who complete the initial certification

Basic Qualifications:

  • Obtain a tier 1 background check
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or at least 5 years of experience in instruction, training, and critiques
  • Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention experience
  • Preferred former Army trained recruiter
  • Preferred former Army trainer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10 years’ total experience in Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention experience (former recruiter)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience as a trainer or instructor is strongly preferred.
  • Possess the ability to effectively communicate with others.
  • Knowledge of Army National Guard structure, commands, units, and recruiting and retention experience.
  • Knowledge of TRADOC course development standards
  • Ability to travel required to provide training
  • Valid driver license and transportation. Supporting documentation may be requested upon time of hire.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods in either an outdoor or office environment.
  • 40% travel required.
