Summary/Objective:
The IT Technician job duties are to help any employee of the district with IT hardware/software issues regardless of if it is training or a malfunction.
Essential Functions:

1. Customer service and team oriented.
2. Carries out tasks assigned by the IT Director.
3. Monitor help desk tickets and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
4. Work and maintain positive relationships with outside vendors.
5. Assist in troubleshooting all aspects of the hospital Electronic Medical Records system (EMR) that the hospital currently uses.
6. Follows all district policies and procedures.
7. Works closely with IT Director to assure district employees can use technology to be more efficient in their duties.
8. Document issues with resolution and aid in maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base.
9. Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain all hardware and software used by district employees.
10. Train or educate any district employee how to use any hardware or software used by the district. (That the technician has training/experience with)
11. Maintains internal website by updating new items and deleting or archiving old items.
12. Notifies IT director of any IT related policy or procedure violation and helps monitor any IT related security risk/violation.
13. Adding employees to software applications and resetting passwords as needed.
14. Maintain professionalism both in appearance and employee interactions.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Most of the time will be spent in an office environment, however there may be times when an outside type of environment is required.
Physical Demands:
Duties regularly require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling, and crouching as well as lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. Carrying, standing on, and/or climbing ladders.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
40 hours a week Monday through Friday 8-5 and participate in on-call rotation.
TRAVEL
Occasional travel is possible for this position due to training, meetings, and conferences.
Requirements:Required Education, Experience and License
Associate degree in information technology with 2 years in healthcare experience. Texas Driver License if driving for SCH with an acceptable record.
Preferred Education, Experience and License
Professional certifications in the IT field preferred
