The Informatics Analyst will report to the Administrative Director & Associate Director within askMDAnderson and be responsible for implementing strategic data models and methodologies that support referral activity tracking, outcomes measurements for Referring Provider team, strategic planning and will collaborate with leadership on various other project needs. The Analyst will participate in and contribute to the development of data driven physician referral relationship management strategies that support the Referring Provider Team operational initiatives promoting new patient referral growth. Participation in strategy development will be achieved through comprehensive analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) of existing organizational data sets, physician market research studies and external business / market intelligence data and information.

Key Functions
1. Develop Outcomes Tools and Measures
- Assist in the development of meaningful and actionable metrics to measure and determine the impact and value of a concierge Referring Provider Team whom are responsible for all external and internal referrals.
- Develop a data dashboard to display relevant reports and analyses that provide a comprehensive view of the Referring Provider Team activities and outcomes.
- Define and produce reports for tracking institutional new patient referral activity follow up for distribution to leadership.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures that ensure accuracy and repeatability of referral related data / sources.
- Create ad hoc activity/referral reports as needed.
2. Strategy / Planning
- Participate in and contribute to the development of data driven relationship management strategies that support the clinical growth goals of the organization.
- Provide relevant data, metrics and analytics to validate strategy development, and ensure organizational alignment goals.
- Participate in the continual development of a concierge referring provider service that will increase the number of referrals brought to the institution
- Assemble continual training and development models for the Health Information Specialists and Supervisor
3. Consumer Inquires
- As needed: Provides timely, accurate responses to consumer inquiries regarding MD Anderson's programs and services, using approved resources, as needed (calls, emails, in-basket messages, faxes, work queue referrals, NRC calls).
- Helps customers understand, navigate and/or initiate the MD Anderson referral process.
- Uses comprehensive communication and interviewing skills to respond to information requests. Responds with accuracy and in accordance with all askMDAnderson and M. D. Anderson policies and procedures.
- Conducts follow-up procedures as needed to assess customer satisfaction. Provides appropriate documentation on such materials.
