Infant Toddler Specialist Job at Wyckoff Family YMCA
Experience/Prerequisites
- Experience working with children in a group setting.
- Courses relating to Early Childhood Education desirable.
- Love of children.
Principle Responsibilities
- Assist the head/group teacher with custodial care of children (diapering, toileting, feeding, etc.)
- Interact with children, assisting and responding to all of their needs.
- Participate in planned developmentally appropriate activities and projects.(both indoors and outside) which support the goals of the Wyckoff Family YMCA Early Childhood Curriculum.
- Assist the head/group teacher to develop and implement the daily planned Curriculum.
- Aide in classroom management and organization.
- Assist with the set up and clean up of daily activities including snack, lunch and rest time.
- Be willing to help where and when needed for the good of the childcare environment.
- Further their knowledge and skills through Professional Development as required by the State of NJ (minimum of 12 credit hour required each school year)
- Be of sound physical and emotional health, without limitations, to perform core performance expectations.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Wyckoff, NJ 07481: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
