General Summary
This individual will lead industrialization activities for the Meals and Beverages Business Unit. They will ensure projects such as new product development, line extensions, cost savings projects, business continuity, and material/process improvements, are translated seamlessly into manufacturing processes and operational schemes across the end-to-end supply chain. They will play an essential role in the successful implementation of these projects and have accountability for the industrial integration of these projects to deliver each project’s commitments.
Principal Accountabilities
- Leads collaborative efforts with Business Engineering teams to ensure that new product commercialization capability assessments are aligned between Manufacturing and Engineering teams
- Ensures the successful execution of all plant trials in support of commercialization activities across the M&B portfolio supporting the Napoleon, Maxton, Paris, Tualatin, Milwaukee, Dixon, and Stockton facilities
- For the whole of the M&B portfolion of commercialization projects, Represents the Manufacturing function’s needs, stance and perspectives relative to the impact of projects that been approved through the stagegate process.
- Represents Manufacturing in cross-functional (R&D, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics) technical readiness initiatives to ensure resorucing and capability has been vetted prior to the inception of plant trial activities
- Leads the process of aligning site leaders, technical leaders, and finance to deliver wholistic and accurate cost estimates for commercialization initiatives from the implications of planned trial activity through ongoing TDC impacts – within manufacturing and across the end to end supply chain.
- Develops plant trial execution standards, revised criteria for step progression, and final trial process success criteria
- Partners with site leaders to ensure that plant commercialization activity includng plant trials are adequately resourced and executed with excellence
- Develop, implement, and lead monthly plant trial execution results reviews for M&B to ensure trial processes are performing in line with expectations
- Develops and implements effective communication plans to keep direct and indirect reports well-informed regarding business objectives, results, initiatives, changes, etc. Ensures that each report’s focus is properly aligned with each site’s goals and objectives
Job Complexity
- Oversees a broad portfolio of trial activity relative to manufacturing and Supply Chain operations for the Meals and Beverages division.
- Must be able to provide oversight for a large complex portfolio of initiatives across all manufacturing sites within the Meals and Beverages division.
Job Specifications
- B.S degree in Business, Engineering, or comparable technical field - MBA preferred
- 7-10 years project management experience – PMO/PMP certification preferred; including 5 years process / project management experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3-5 years’ experience leading cross functional teams
- Strong business knowledge and financial acumen
- Comprehensive knowledge manufacturing standards i.e.OSHA standards, HACCP guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), etc
