Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for repairing and maintaining industrial machinery throughout the plant. This person is required to learn all the mechanical aspects of the equipment and basic electrical troubleshooting for the plant. The Maintenance Technician must work overtime, as required.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Repair and troubleshoot production equipment
• Assist in the set-up and tear down of production lines
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) as identified in the corporate quality documents
• Operate safely and promote a safe work environment
• Perform internal and external building maintenance
• Ability to work mandatory and voluntary overtime, as needed
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Essential to this Position

• Hiring Industrial Maintenance Technician, nights (5+ years related experience) - $35.00/hr
• Regular shift - 5-2-2-5 rotation, working 2 weekends/month, 6p-6a
• Overtime, as needed

Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Education Desired: Technical Degree

Work Experience Required:

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulics knowledge
• Experience working with PLC and Drive Controllers

Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired

• Knowledge of shrink wrap equipment, balers, heat tunnels, printers, glue machines, conveyors, carton sealers, stretch wrappers
• Knowledge of millwright tasks, such as rigging equipment for heavy lifts

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, bend, walk, and carry items weighing 50+ lbs. regularly

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidates will be required to pass aptitude testing through the local technical college to include the following tests: Reading Comprehension, Abstract Reasoning, Mechanical Reasoning, Space Relations, Numerical Ability, and Standard Timing Model.
