Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Maintenance Technician job near Horseheads, NY for our client, an manufacturer of quality products. We are seeking candidates with four (4) or more years of industrial maintenance experience working on fast-paced industrial machinery. Our client is seeking candidates with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining electronic controlled machinery (PLCs, etc.) and preventative maintenance. These are night shift . Our client offers a competitive hourly pay rate based on experience and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities for the Industrial Maintenance Technician job near Horseheads, NY include:

• Diagnose, repair, and prevent potential equipment failure to minimize down-time.
• Troubleshoot failure of mechanical/electrical components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Manage several projects at a time, to meet the needs of a rapidly changing environment.
• Work in a team-based environment, using good communication skills, ability to follow directions and works well in either an individual or team environment.
• Follow safety practices and procedures, security protocol, and wear proper PPE.
• Work with controls and drives, electrical power distribution 480V 208V single and 3 phase.
• Ability to effectively work along with vendors and outside contractors.

Qualifications:

• Four (4) or more years of hands-on maintenance experience in an Industrial setting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Technical School or College Diploma a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery incuding CNC machinery, conveyors, packaging equipment, robotics, and electronic controlled machinery is a plus.
• Computer literacy and proficiency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
