Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job at Bio-Gro, Inc.
SUMMARY:
Repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery or refinery and pipeline distribution systems. May also install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to plans.
Maintenance and Fabrication make sure manufacturing processes run smoothly, so our products can be delivered on time. As a Plant Industrial Mechanic you could work in all types of manufacturing, for example:
- Fermentation Production
- Humic Acids Production
- Chemical Production
- Maintenance and Facilities
- Farming
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
- Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
- Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
- Record repairs and maintenance performed.
- Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials, as necessary.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
- Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.
- Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operatorsperforming other duties as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned (Such as working in the plant along with the team doing maintenance repairs, etc.)
COMPETENCY:
- Administrative skills – filing, documenting, organized.
- Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Mathematics
- Microsoft office software and other computer software’s
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with production processes, manufacturing equipment, and Industrial maintenance mechanics
- Background in agriculture and fertilizers are preferred but not required.
- Safety background
- Strong electrical skills
- Experience working with Gas/Air/Electric pumps, forklifts, ladders, hoses, tractors, sky trek, skyjack, catwalks, general hand tools, agitators, mixers, scales, pH meters, specific gravity cups, valves, camlock couplers, y-strainers, sweecos, and decanters.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Associates degree/Certificate in Instrumentation & Industrial Automation or related field and/or 4 plus years’ experience in industrial maintenance related position.
