Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a candidate with experience optimizing supply chains and production schedules with advanced analytics and optimization software tools. This position will work with interdisciplinary commercial and manufacturing teams to explore and develop new solutions for the North American business. In this role you will hone your skills in one or more manufacturing and supply logistics planning and scheduling optimization technologies. You will work to apply optimization and simulation utilizing cutting edge commercial and proprietary modeling approaches and develop next generation solution techniques focused on value generation.

Primary Job Description:
- Develop, deploy, and commission offline optimization applications.
- Provide specialist application consulting and technical support to affiliates worldwide for new and deployed applications, including model troubleshooting and assistance with model convergence, model and economic information updates, and interpreting optimization solutions to stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership through work process reviews and best practice implementations.
- Closely work with manufacturing sites, process engineering, business stakeholders & business support functions to identify new opportunities, define the scope, cost, benefits and project schedule for new as well as revamped applications.
- Position could require 10-30% travel (domestic and/or international).
- This position is flexible with a hybrid schedule.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or equivalent professional work experience in these fields
- Previous experience in a role(s) with a focus on financial analysis, accounting, strategy and/or economic modeling
- Excel and Database experience: VBA, SQL, simulation and optimization techniques, query building, macros, advanced functions, etc.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or Operations Research
- Direct experience in a manufacturing plant environment
- Minimum of 1-year industrial experience in planning and/or scheduling optimization preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communications: able to explain sophisticated data science concepts in an understandable manner, and distill complex results or processes into simple, clear visualizations
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, accuracy, effectiveness, and self-confidence.
- Understanding of key economic decisions in supply chain is a plus.
