Job Summary –

• Under supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Scheduler, this unskilled position will concentrate on cleaning the production areas and employee areas for purpose of safely and efficiently keeping the plant safe, clean, organized and sanitized.

Functions -

• Perform and assist with general housekeeping and cleaning of break room/locker room area and throughout plant.
• Operate mechanical sweeping machine. Clean equipment and areas as assigned.
• Empty trash cans throughout plant.
• Trained in the application of Lock-out/Tag-out and other applicable safety programs
• Able to pass an operator’s training course for powered industrial equipment (PIE).
• Shovel, sweep and clean up sand and other items using various equipment to eliminate workplace obstacles.
• Clean equipment and machines as assigned.
• Fill-in on a temporary basis for production related tasks in the Mold department as necessary, or other departments to support production activities when resources are limited.
• Maintain, properly store and have available the necessary tools and equipment to perform clean up tasks.
• Other activities as may be assigned in order to maintain production requirements of the department or plant.

Education/Experience –

• No previous experience required, we will train you!
• No educational requirements
• Must be able to read, communicate and understand instructions in the English language
• Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time
• Must actively engage in safe working practices
• Must be able to tolerate hot working conditions and a loud environment
• Must be comfortable working in small spaces
• Previous experience utilizing basic hand tools, hoists, and tape measure preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply
• Previous foundry experience a plus
