The Independent Testing and Validation (IT&V) team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework, and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies.

In this role, you will:
  • Participate in less complex development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities companywide in alignment with the risk management framework
  • Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies within IT&V
  • Support and implement initiatives with low to moderate risk and exercise independent judgment to guide risk reporting, escalation, and resolution
  • Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations, and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the risk management framework and the risk and control environment
  • Collaborate and consult with colleagues, internal partners, and management
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 2+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent, demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience providing "credible challenge" to business partners, when necessary, with the ability to lead through influence
  • Ability to assess regulatory requirements, determine test scope, design test scripts, as well as executing, documenting, and reporting on compliance testing
  • Experience testing policy and procedures/control testing within a regulatory space
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment, and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Regulatory compliance experience
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to effectively interact with a broad range of risk professionals and senior management
  • BS/BA degree or higher
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and information, and translating it into clear digestible information per the audience
  • Prior risk, compliance, or testing within the Mortgage, Home Equity, or Correspondent Lending environment
