This position is a hybrid work model (work from home/work on-site), which will require some on-site work activities as needed.

*** This role should be located within a commutable distance to Oak Brook, Illinois or Farmington Hills/Plymouth, Michigan Bosch locations ***

• Conduct large scale classification reviews (USHTS, ECCN and Schedule B reviews)
• Conduct internal and external classification reviews (by any external or internal partners for accuracy and for changes (i.e. USHTS changes, product changes)) and support implementation of corrective actions, as required
• Identify items for tariff re-engineering purposes
• Prepare supporting documentation and reasoning for classification determinations related to internal audit trail and due diligence
• Assist team with the development of classification procedures and due diligence requirements necessary to North American trade compliance
• Develop and foster relationships with internal departments, Plant and Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Procurement, and other areas involved in import/export activities.
• Assign import and export classifications (USHTS, ECCN and Schedule B) when needed
• Special Projects Management: oversee and support business units to ensure execution of ad-hoc projects
• Develop and implement Compliance Improvement Plans, as needed
• Support projects, research, analysis and other special assignments as needed to minimize risk and maximize opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in classification, ECCN, Schedule B determinations
• 3+ years of import and export compliance experience and U.S. import/export regulations
• 3+ years of experience documenting due diligence for HTS and ECCN determinations for internal and audit defense purposes
• 3+ years of experience with Excel and ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years working in the automotive industry, strongly preferred
• Experience with SAP GTS
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Ability to work with cross-functional and diverse global teams
• Strong Organizational skills, very detail oriented with the ability to prioritize
• Self-starter and proactive
• Demonstrated research, analytical and ability to provide problem-solving solutions or recommendations to management
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, v-lookups, etc.)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking
