Imaging Services Rep, Diagnostic Imaging, Sequim, Per Diem, Variable, Wknds/Hol/On Call
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the receiving patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, verifying insurance coverage and authorization for services and accurately entering data into multiple computer systems for completion of the Imaging Services outpatient admission process. This position requires the ability to learn and retain a broad base of knowledge concerning all examinations and make quick, independent decisions using good judgment. Work situations require a service-oriented individual with the ability to respond to physicians, patients and families with empathy, respect and understanding. Contacts include patients, families, referring physicians and their office staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High school graduate or equivalent required. Medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy preferred.
Experience
Minimum one year of office/reception experience required preferably in a health care setting.
Licensure/Credentials
None.
