GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking an IH/Safety Professional to join our team. This position is full-time and will support the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Clearance Level Required:
Uncleared - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Clearance

Overview:
- Develops, recommends, and implements programs, policies, and procedures associated with the recognition, measurement, evaluation, and control of potential health and safety hazards.
- Provide daily industrial hygiene and safety support to programmatic or facility organizations or the IHS professional may manage and administer one or more institutional health and safety programs or services.
- Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
- Provides resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Contributes to the development of organization’s goals and objectives.
- Works under limited direction; receives general instructions on new assignments.
- Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Determines approach to solutions, plans schedule and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
Clearance & Citizenship Requirement:
- To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
- Due to the federal nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
