JJC’s Behavior Health program provides psychiatric and psychological supportive services, evaluations, therapy and behavioral rehabilitative services to children and adolescents living within the Philadelphia County. Providing an array of therapeutic interventions and implementation of trauma informed evidenced based models of therapeutic practice we assist children with signs and symptoms of depression, severe trauma, post-traumatic stress, Autism, and other emotional or behavioral diagnoses.
We are looking for an Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Assessment Clinician to join our team of professionals to help enable children with emotional and behavioral needs to thrive. Work will be conducted primarily in the Frankford and Bridesburg sections of Philadelphia, PA (zip codes 19124, 19137, and 19135).
What you’ll be doing:
As the Assessment Clinician you will play a pivotal role as an advocate and community support for the youth or young adults of our program within their to their families and in the classroom setting. You will use your assessment skills to guide our youth to the appropriate level of services. The Assessment Clinician also coordinates and consults with other service providers to fit the pieces of the client into one whole. The Assessment Clinician must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and complete assessments within a timely fashion (15 days).
Qualified candidates will have:
- Behavior specialist license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, however, can accept non-licensed.
- A Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) certificate.
- A master’s degree in one of the following; Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education with Counseling, Human Services Counseling or related field with 12 clinical credit hours.
- A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education.
- The ability to provide a clear Criminal background check, child abuse check, ACT 31/126 clearance, physical, and FBI fingerprint
