HVAC Technician Crew Leader
Job Description
General Statement of Job
This is the position of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition Foreman. It requires a master journey level knowledge of the HVAC trade. The foreman must be able to complete assigned tasks, work orders, and coordinate projects with the Maintenance Supervisors.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Working knowledge of the methods, practices, and materials used in HVAC
repair and installation
- Ability to work and follow OSHA and EPA guidelines
- Skilled in the use and care of tools and equipment necessary to perform work
- Ability to repair heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, equipment, and energy management system
- Ability to understand and work from sketches or drawings
- Ability to follow oral or written instructions as assigned
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Training and Experience
Completion of High School- Five years of experience in the HVAC trade or related trade
- Completion of courses or workshops in HVAC or related trade
- EPA certification in refrigerant handling and recovery or ability to obtain
- Have license in HVAC or related trades or the ability to obtain a license
- Have a valid N. C. driver’s license
Minimum Qualifications or Standards Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
Able to perform work based on self-abilities and upon completion to be acceptable in materials, workmanship, and appearance. Work should be of a technical nature and will require inspection and passing of all building code laws.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Requires the ability to climb and maneuver on ladders, scaffolding, and/or in tight spaces. Physical demand requirements are for Medium Work.
Other Requirements
Must maintain an acceptable attendance record and be punctual
