The Building Bridges to Hope: Human Trafficking Initiative from CPLC Parenting AZ is a trauma-informed and survivor-centered program that offers comprehensive case management services to adult survivors of trafficking in Maricopa County and parts of Pinal County.


POSITION SUMMARY

A Human Trafficking Program Promotora is a peer support and advocacy role that is responsible for providing prevention information and community-based education that is culturally and linguistically sensitive around victims of trafficking to the targeted communities by facilitating Human Trafficking awareness presentations/curriculum to those who are at risk for being trafficking or know someone who might be at risk.

Provide individual, group, and telephone follow-up services to Promotoras and those interested in participating in the Promotora Project. Responsible for recruiting survivors interested in workshop presentations; maintains contacts with comprehensive service organizations, drug and alcohol agencies, hospitals and hospices, churches and community centers, family planning centers and women's service agencies, LGBTQ+ agencies, and human trafficking organizations, etc. Maintain weekly and monthly statistics for the annual report as required by the funding source. Attend workshops, training, and conferences assigned by the program lead.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with recruitment and supervision of volunteers.
  • Ability to work within a team and motivate volunteers.
  • Public speaking ability, with strong written and verbal Spanish and English skills.
  • Computer knowledge, detail-oriented, and good organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma. A certificate or a commitment towards successful completion of continuous training.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish language is required.
  • Valid AZ driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to show proof of registration/insurance. Must be 21 years of age to drive on behalf of CPLC, Inc.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed per program requirements


Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Newly hired employees, who are not Fully Vaccinated at the time of hire, are expected to begin a vaccination series immediately upon hire. CPLC recognizes medical and religious exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, in accordance with applicable law and upon approval by CPLC.
