Human Resources Manager (Chilco) Job at Idaho Forest Group
Idaho Forest Group is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team.
Responsible for all Human Resource activities for a specific location as a partner with Management to promote IFG values, culture, and strategic goals. A constant promoter and recruiter for IFG to attract, retain and grow talent with a high work ethic, aptitude to learn and a growth mindset.
Essential Functions:
- Active member of location management team working together in achieving the location’s and the company’s strategic goals.
- Promotion of a culture of continuous process improvement, training, and IFG’s values
- Recruitment of personnel for current and future needs including management of the process for job placement, interviewing, job offers, etc.
- Conduct new employee orientation including periodic and scheduled follow-up with new employees as they go through their first three months of employment.
- Provide support and employee relations/conflict counseling
- Identify training opportunities in support of the location’s short-term and long-term objectives and goals
- Understand and promote the incentive programs applicable to your location
- Support supervisors regarding employee relations, counseling, employee reviews, termination, etc.
- Promote and administer benefits plans, activities, and wellness programs
- Understand, uphold, and communicate all IFG and HR policies and procedures
- Process leave management and Workers’ Compensation paperwork
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll related information
- Maintains compliance with regulations, including current postings of Federal and State required posters throughout site, and uniform application and compliance of EEO, AAP, ADA, FMLA.
- Partner with Safety team and management for proactive safety risk mitigation and policy adherence
- Supervisor and develop HR Coordinator.
- Coordinate site HR activities and events including employee picnic, Christmas party, etc.
- Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
- Other duties as needed

Qualifications:
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Certifications such as a PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, CEBS, CCP, or CBP are highly desirable
Required
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- 5+ years HR experience with three years supervisory experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of key federal regulations and compliance requirements is mandatory
- Valid Driver’s License
- Pass a drug, physical, and background check
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs. Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, airborne particles (sawdust).
