The Human Resource Generalist will run the day-to-day operations of the HR Department at the Staples and Pine River facilities. They may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, labor relations. Will also assist with general office duties.

To perform this job successfully, the HR Generalist must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

· Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

· Oversee new hire orientations, benefits education, and benefits enrollment for eligible employees.

· Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

· Assist employees with personnel information and interpretation of personnel policies and procedures.

· Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

· Represent the company for any unemployment claims.

· Administer Short Term Disability and FMLA.

· Maintain employee files, including new hire and benefits paperwork, termination documents, and training.

· Perform audits of various files, including personnel, benefits, safety, etc.

· Submit FROIs as necessary and maintain site OSHA 300 logs.

· Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

· Manage front office duties including tasks such as answering phones, handling mail, maintaining office supplies, and scanning documents to the appropriate recipients.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Credentials:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent years of Human Resources experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,400.00 - $68,000.00 per year
