Human Resources Associate
Full-time (40 hours)
Locations: Johnston, Rhode Island
General Responsibility: This position will be providing support to the major functions of the Human Resources department, including: recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration and compliance. Work as part of a team to provide to high quality services to employees and leadership.
Specific Responsibilities: Specific duties will include: posting all employment opportunities and supporting the employee onboarding process; assisting with benefit administration; assisting employees with navigation through the electronic Human Resource Information System (HRIS); gathering information to complete Agency, Local, State and Federal reports; maintaining personnel, credentialing and medical files/records, according to State and Federal guidelines/regulations; tracking due/overdue documentation; assisting with facilitation of the employee hiring process, including following up on background checks, assessments, employment and education/certification credentials for potential new hires;, and creating reports as required.
Qualifications: Associate Degree in human resources or related field or 3-5 years of experience in human resources or equivalent education and experience required. Demonstrates track record of professional growth, strong customer service skills, multi-tasking ability, and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Power Point) and internet capabilities. Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
