Knox College invites applications for the Full Time, Benefited, 12-month role of Human Resource Associate. The Human Resource Associate is responsible for providing superior assistance to Knox employees. This position handles walk-in requests and serves as the initial point of contact for employees regarding general human resource issues. The Human Resources Associate will be responsible for assisting other senior staff in human resources with benefits, leaves, and other human resource related functions.


Essential Duties:


  • Assist in data entry for salary surveys
  • Process human resource purchase orders
  • Create and maintain new employee files and paperwork
  • Manage data and forms on human resources website
  • Support new employee onboarding presentations
  • Assist in Maintaining tuition benefit records
  • Schedule temporary and student workers as needed
  • Assist with billing of employees for benefits
  • Assist with celebration and recognition events for staff and faculty
  • Answer phones, assist with filing and order supplies for human resources staff
  • Other assigned duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience managing date
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
  • Exceptional Attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Two years of human resource experience or 3 or more years of progressively responsible administrative assistant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working at an Institution of Higher Education
