Human Resources Specialist

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for a variety of Human Resources administrative duties.


PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Coordinate and administer employee orientation and onboarding of new employees.

Distribute performance evaluations and pay change notices to supervisors.

Post job openings in applicant tracking system.

Facilitate annual benefits open enrollment and Wellness Screening.

Complete employment verifications for internal and external employees.

Process, verify and maintain I-9 forms and files

Conduct background checks

Generate reports

Maintain personnel files.

Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field required plus 1 year of HR experience preferred or a minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resource Management.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Excellent organization, presentation, writing and communication skills.

Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel) and proficiency in HRM systems.
