We are looking for an experienced Human-Machine Interfacing Subject Matter Expert (SME) with demonstrated experience in human-machine interfacing technologies and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E).

A week in the life of a Human-Machine Interfacing Subject Matter Expert:

  • Assist the Deputy Chief Technology Officer for Critical Technologies, (DCTO(CT)) in unifying investments across the DoD, Develop an overarching modernization plan that will rapidly advance DoD capabilities for human-machine interface.
  • Assess and advise on Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations (JCTD) requirements,
  • Represent USD R&E on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Support all operations and tasks which include establishing policies.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $180k - $200k. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Job Requirements
  • 10 years of experience of engineering, cybersecurity, and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) required,
  • Master’s degree in STEM and minimum of 5-years recent experience in human-machine interfacing technologies,
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Knowledge of cutting-edge science and technology research and development to include the ability to assess foreign technology developments and impact.
  • Knowledge of research and development and acquisition processes
  • Experience leading collaborative program and technical studies involving cost, schedule, risk, and performance of complex architectures against threat capabilities evolving over time with demonstrated experience building consensus.
