JOB SUMMARY:

Develop, execute, and track recruiting plans to establish organization as employer of choice. Reports to the Director of Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Coordinate the employment process by managing advertising and posting of job vacancies through HRIS including unemployment boards, newsletters, newspapers, WV Workforce and online postings.
  • Identify qualified applicants; screen, interview and evaluate with qualifications for job description.
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position. Develop and execute recruiting plans by working with hiring managers. Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Effectively uses social media campaigns to generate candidates to fill current vacancies. Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.
  • Provide candidate status updates to hiring manager. Maintain candidates status notes in HRIS. Follow candidate through offer to hire date to close or reopen vacancy. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Network through contacts, memberships, trade groups, social media and employees.
  • Assist in establishing a recognizable employer of choice reputation for the company, both internally and externally.
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
  • Develop and track measurable facets of the recruiting and hiring process such as time to hire, improvement processes, preventable employee turnover.
  • Post openings online, company social media, in newspapers, with professional organizations, college recruitment, and other appropriate venues.
  • Use social and professional networking sites and various other internet resources to identify and source candidates.
  • Administrative duties and recordkeeping including but not limited to administering assessments, pre-screening applicants and conducting pre-screening interviews, background checks, drug screens, maintaining data in HRIS and assisting with orientation as needed.
  • Establish check-in intervals with new hires. Maintain records for any bonus.
  • Follow-up with current employees and new hires for candidate referrals.
  • Survey new hires for feedback to help improve recruitment process and/or identify new candidates
  • Maintain employee retention efforts in the Human Resources department focusing on employee engagement, teamwork, communication, compensation review, recognition, and education.
  • Present findings on employee retention factors in weekly staff meetings.
  • Serves as member of Employee Engagement Committee.
  • Manage the monthly newsletter submissions, HR bulletin boards, and special postings.
  • Create job descriptions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree preferred but not required. One or more years of experience directly related to recruiting preferred. Knowledge of human resources preferred.
