HR Operations Coordinator


Job Summary


The Human Resources Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support duties related to the Human Resource Department’s mission to support Borrego Health and our employees. In this role, you will be expected to perform these duties consistent with and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of the Borrego Health Human Resources Department.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leading day-to-day compliance process administration, receiving, acknowledging, processing, saving, and uploading compliance documents with prescribed procedure.
  • Coordinates the maintenance of the department’s records including employee personnel files (create new personnel and medical files, filing) as assigned
  • Conducting New Hire Onboarding and Orientation
  • Extracts data from organizational systems including learning management and HRIS
  • Processes employee records and documents in accordance with prescribed procedure
  • Ensures compliance with administrative paperwork as assigned
  • Updates employee files, ensures proper recordkeeping
  • Interprets, updates and understand HRIS data (W-4 changes, inventory & equipment forms, emergency contacts, etc)
  • Monitors helpdesk ticketing system and complete assigned tickets
  • Answers questions and furnish information consistent with the policies and procedures and practices of the Human Resources Department.
  • Provides general administrative support (e.g. copying, faxing, packet assembly)
  • Process terminated employee files as assigned
  • Produces HR metrics and reporting with prescribed procedure
  • Maintains full confidentiality of all employees as well as company records
  • Other related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Human Resources functions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Working Knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and Internet Explorer
  • Ability to present in front of groups both large and small
  • Knowledge of pertinent Federal, State and local labor laws
  • Able to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals
  • Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines, and targets
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all during work
  • Ability to motivate and empower others to reach organizational goals.
  • Ability to supervise, multitask, understand, and follow instructions


Physical and Mental Requirements:


1. Able to lift/move up to 20 pounds, move from place to place, stand, and sit for long periods of time

2. Ability to do math, organize and prioritize workload, work effectively and efficiently under stress


Flexibility: Available for all shifts and, when required, able to work evenings and weekends


Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources field, OR
  • An Associate’s degree and one year of Human Resources experience, OR
  • A High School diploma or GED Equivalent and two years of Human Resources experience, OR
  • Any similar combination of education and experience.


Special Conditions of Employment:

All staff that is presently working within a clinic is required to have a Current and Valid CPR and First Aide certification on file with the Human Resources Department. This is for clinical and administrative staff. This new license requirement is mandatory for continued employment, CPR and First Aide certification.
