Summary:


The Human Resource Manager supports the VP of HR in providing full-service human resources support to our organization. In this role, you will provide employee coaching and counseling to department directors and managers in the areas of discipline, termination, grievances and interprets policies and procedures. Provides HR Operations support to the organization. HRIS support to the HR team & organization. Conducts investigations on claims of harassment, hostile work environment, etc. Provides general HR information to employees and leaders regarding all facets of HR services. Supports training on employee relations issues. May support information gathering in response to legal matters.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


1. Serves as an HR Manager by providing information to all levels of employees regarding all facets of human resources functions. Directs employees to appropriate members of the human resources team for support.

2. Processes, investigates, and resolves informal and formal complaints, concerns, or questions relative to human resource issues and provide consultative leadership and support to all entities as appropriate.

3. Reviews disciplinary matters submitted by department and clinic managers and provides appropriate guidance and advice pursuant to organizational policy. May function as HR representative and support to leadership during disciplinary meetings. Assists with the development of Performance Improvement Plans as necessary.

4. Support leadership by advising on performance review content and development.

5. May assist with data collection and analysis, metric development, reporting, improvement activities, development of training and follow-up activities.

6. Facilitates the interactive process with appropriate parties and determines and communicates employee work restrictions and potential accommodations.

7. Conducts and/or reviews employee exit interviews. Gathers and records information in centralized exit interview database. Makes recommendations for service improvement based on interview feedback.

8. Works on a collaborative basis with managers and directors on resolution of human resource issues.

9. Maintains current knowledge of federal and state statutes relating to employment and human resource legislation.

Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications:


1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related business degree; Master’s degree preferred

2. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential highly preferred; must obtain in first year of employment if not already certified; SHRM CA HR Law Specialty Credential preferred

3. Minimum five years’ experience in Employee Relations or related Human Resources generalist function.

4. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including employee relations, hris support, HR operations support, performance management, compensation administration, employment legislation, benefits administration.

5. Knowledge and experience in working with, advising, supporting, and mentoring leadership on employee relations matters.

6. HR certification highly preferred (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SHRM CA HR Law Specialty Credential)


Special Conditions of Employment:

1. Valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
