HR Generalist Job at Omni Tax Solutions

As Omni’s HR Generalist, you will be responsible for performing diverse and complex administrative and staff support services. This includes running the day-to-day processes of the HR department as well as collaborating with members of management to assess and address business needs. This role provides unique opportunities to have autonomy to show your experience and skills working directly with staff and organization stakeholders. Note: This position requires you to be in the office and it is NOT a remote position.
Responsibilities of the HR Generalist:
30% Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Owns the full-cycle recruitment by creating and posting job ads, screening applicants, interviewing, completing background checks, and setting up hires for their new employee onboarding.
- Effectively onboards new employees, including but not limited to preparing and processing new hire paperwork
20% Employee Time & Leave Management
- Manages time and attendance procedures in ADP as well as approves all company timecards semi-monthly
- Responsible for overseeing the correct implementation and administration of various leave policies such as PTO, PHEL, FMLA, FAMLI, etc. following all legal requirements.
15% Benefits Administration
- Oversees employee benefit eligibility, and assists in completing and collecting benefit documentation as needed
15% Company Policy & Compliance
- Assists leadership team in the implementation of appropriate policies and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Maintains electronic HR databases and personnel filing
15% Company Communication
- Assists in the development and design of the weekly internal newsletter
- Occasionally drafts and proofreads companywide memos and communications
- Guides various departments through appropriate communication with employees during the disciplinary process
5% Other various ad hoc projects
Preferred Skills:
- 1 year of recruiting experience
- SHRM or PHR Certification
- Experience with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
- Experienced in Microsoft Suite
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Management, Business, Psychology, or related field is required for this position. Relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
