HR Coordinator Job at HR-Rethought
HR-Rethought is a small HR consulting company based in south Overland Park, KS with clients all over the KC metro area. We partner with small to midsize businesses and function as their HR and Recruiting team – just outsourced. Our clients cross industries - from manufacturing to engineering to retail services.
We are growing and are looking to add a HR Coordinator to our team. We are have moved into our new office space and are enjoying working together, in person, as a team. There is still some flexibility in schedule. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and extremely organized.
We are looking for the following type of person:

- Juggler - Have the ability to multitask and work on many positions for different clients while creating and documenting processes and progress

We are looking for someone with the following skillset:
HR
Anything and everything HR related. Every client is different, and every project is different. A well-rounded HR background is key as you will be touching all aspects of their business. Most of our clients have no idea what they need so it is our job to advise them what is most important. To give you some examples:
- Staffing support, as outlined below
- Research HR processes and procedures and work with the Consultant to create processes and procedures
- Updating/Creating employee handbooks
- Improving/creating on-boarding process for new hires
- Updating/creating job descriptions
- Researching state employment law or policies
- Support annual benefit enrollments
Other Projects
- Employment branding (update Facebook and Linked-In posts)
- Assist in marketing campaigns
Recruiting
While we have our recruiting team in place to source and screen candidates, we are a team and pitch in whenever and wherever needed. Your involvement on the recruiting side will heavily depend on the workload of our recruiting team. You may have the responsibility to create phone interview questions, interview candidates, create consistent interview processes and be the advocate of our clients during this process. Your responsibilities could include:
- Conducting full cycle recruitment at all levels, from sourcing to coordinating interviews
- Researching, reviewing and screening resumes
- Creatively sourcing and recruiting candidates to create a pipeline of passive candidates
- Organizing candidates using an in-house applicant tracking system and keeping detailed notes on each candidate
- Updating job descriptions
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years administrative experience, preferably with HR focus
- Past success juggling a number of competing priorities and seeing them through to completion within deadlines
- Experience using job boards, social media and internal recruiting systems
- Proven success identifying qualified candidates through LinkedIn and other professional networks
