HR Assistant, Selah Plant Job at Tree Top
$1,500 sign-on bonus paid through 30 days, 90 days and 6 months of employment.
This position is non-exempt and on average, accrues 20 hours of overtime monthly.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The HR Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day operations of various human resources functions and duties at the plant, including recruitment and onboarding; employee training; providing benefits, payroll and scheduling support; assisting with employee performance issues; and serving as a point of contact for employees.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and does not supervise staff. The position works closely with plant staff and temp agency.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Principles and practices of effective business communication.
- Office administrative and management practices and procedures.
ABILITY TO:
- Operate a variety of office machines such as computer, copier, and fax.
- Learn and comply with pertinent policies and procedures.
- Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Meet behaviors established in Tree Top’s performance management and development process.
EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:
- Associate’s degree in Business or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience performing scheduling, payroll and data entry.
