HR Associate Job Description
Team by the Minute is looking for an energetic HR associate to join our HR department. Team by the Minute provides high-quality phone answering services to a variety of businesses across the nation. We are looking to employ an HR associate with outstanding administrative and communication skills. You must be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatize to a fast-paced environment. To ensure success, an HR associate should display remarkable conflict management and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of employee relationships and staffing management. Top candidates will be precise in the recruitment process, and have experience working with unemployment.
HR Associate Responsibilities:
40% Hiring and Onboarding
- Calling potential candidates and offering interviews for the job
- Interviewing candidates either in person or over the phone and selecting the best possible talent
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
- Supports human resources processes by administering tests, scheduling appointments, conducting orientation, maintaining records and information.
- Welcomes new employees to the organization by conducting orientation.
25% Paperwork
- Provides secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information.
- Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
- Submits employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
- Oversee the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.
- Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
20% Improve department
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Assist with performance management procedures.
- Develop and continually implement best new practices so that the department continually improves
15% Conflict Management
- Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
HR Assistant Requirements:
- A year or more of experience as an HR assistant (essential).
- Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.
- Effective HR administration and people management skills.
- Exposure to payroll practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
The hourly wage starts at $13 and will increase to $14-$15 an hour after the probationary period depending on performance. Please apply if you are interested in working in our rapidly growing call center.
