Summary and Scope of Position:
Spacetel is looking for a Payroll/HR Administrator to process and assist in the company’s payroll and Human Resources needs.
The Payroll/HR Administrator must be able to use payroll software with accuracy and efficiency, be detailed and good with numbers, can be trusted with sensitive information, and have great communication skills to interact with colleagues and executives.
General Duties:
The Payroll/HR Administrator will assist the HR Manager in the following areas:
- Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties;
- Gather information on hours worked for each employee;
- Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, employee incentives etc.;
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, incentives, leaves, etc);
- Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed;
- Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc;
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors;
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Corporate Office executives;
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies);
- Assist in creation of the company's policy and procedures; including building SOPs;
- Assist in the creation of leave policy and maintain records accordingly;
- Complete training as needed for self and conduct training for Spacetel employees to ensure Company policies and directives are adhered too.
The successful candidate will be able to perform in the following areas:
- Able to meet the requirement to work full hours;
- Complete all aspects of HR and payroll duties assigned in accordance with written and oral procedures;
- Ability to complete all paperwork completely, accurately and in a timely manner;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data;
- Outstanding math and research skills;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Proficiency with 10-key typing and data entry;
- Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability;
- Bilingual skills a plus;
- Any other reasonable work related requests.
Qualifications:
- Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field;
- 1-3 years of experience working with payroll and or HR
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
