Duties and Tasks:
- Inspects and supervises the daily cleaning of assigned guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, stair wells, and public areas to the company and brand standards.
- Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.
- Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments.
- Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.
- Examines guest rooms and public areas to determine need for repairs and communicates them with engineering department.
- Issues keys, supplies, and equipment to workers using standard log sheets.
- Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, and time cards, and prepares periodic reports.
- Follows supervisor checklists every shift to ensure proper opening and closing.
- Immediately reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions, or unsafe practices and procedures.
- Wears a clean and suitable uniform and name badge at all times and leads by example
The ideal candidate must have a career goal in hospitality with a desire of growing within the company. Strong communication skills, supervisory experience, attention to detail, and overall healthy physical fitness is required.
