Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assisting with managing housekeeping operations, staff, inspecting, cleaning guest rooms and common areas of the hotel to have ready for guests according to the policies and procedures of Granlibakken Tahoe.

Responsibilities

Supervise housekeeping staff
-
Assign daily boards to housekeeping team members
- Supervise the activities and monitor the performance of the Housekeeping team in the assigned guest room and common area section.

Maintain room quality based on hotel objectives
- Conduct frequent room inspections to ensure established cleaning standards are upheld.
- Assure that inventory of the rooms is up-to-date in accordance with established requirements
- Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies, and bathroom items according to preset standards and procedures.
- Clean assigned guest rooms, according to preset standards and procedures.
- Duties include, but are not limited to making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming.

Monitor and maintain a level of cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms, and public areas
- Ensure that all furnishings, hallways, vending areas, and storage rooms are well maintained.

Compile and report accurate status of guest rooms to front office

Oversee all housekeeping duties

Maintain productivity and labor cost goals

Establish and maintain cost control systems for staffing linen inventories and cleaning supplies

Conduct inventories of linen, supplies, and equipment
- Report maintenance problems immediately.
- Coordinate and facilitate any repairs for maintenance deficiencies.
- Monitor chemical usage for proper compliance with OSHA standards.
- Ensure department compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Ensure quality services are rendered in meeting guest needs and that guest relations are enhanced
- Ensure accurate key control.

Ensure satisfactory scores with brand by preparing for audits, evaluating results, and collaborating with management and team with necessary improvements
- Work with other departments to maintain AAA 3 diamond or higher standards for the property.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required
-
Minimum of 1 years experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility required

Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred

Comprehensive knowledge of housekeeping procedures, inventories, equipment and chemicals required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays
