ON TARGET STAFFING needs a Housekeeper in the Porters Neck area of Wilmington.

Due to the medical vulnerability of community members, requires initial Covid 19 vaccination or be eligible for exemption.

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the cleanliness residential units and common areas across the community. You would participate in an annual deep clean of all facilities within the community.

Experience: 1-2 years residential cleaning, Valid driver's license

Hours: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Pay: $15 per hour

Essential Duties include, but is not limited to:

• Scheduled daily, weekly and monthly general cleaning of residential units and community areas
• Emergency housekeeping as accidents or incidents occur
• Vacuums, dusts, make beds, dispose of trash, clean blinds, windows, mirrors
• Able to be around pets
• Collect and store soiled laundry for Porter to pick up
• Assist with special cleaning requests by residents
• Work with a team to perform annual "SPRING CLEANING"

Other Duties:

Attend training and education sessions. Maintains/stock equipment and supplies. Work with safety in mind! Keep in mind infection control standards and comply with all regulatory requirements. May be required to drive company vehicle so driver's license is required.

Skills necessary:

• Communicate in English
• Learn general housekeeping standards
• Ability to effectively utilize a variety of cleaning tools and supplies
• Ability to operate vacuum and work cart

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• High level of physical exertion throughout the workday
• Stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day
• Stoop and work from a kneeling position
• Repetitive bending, reaching and stretching
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independently.
• Push, pull, or otherwise move heavy objects such as furniture, supplies and trash weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Work in confined spaces and be comfortable with being around residents
• May be exposed to communicable diseases and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV and/or HBV.
• May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals.
• May require work in units which house pets.
• May be exposed to all types of weather conditions given the community premises.
