We are seeking a Host who is the face of the business to our customers every day. The host is responsible for seating guests in a timely and friendly manner. The Host also assists as able with bussing, expediting, and packaging to-go food. Hosts are tipped out nightly and make take-out/online order tips. A host can expect to earn $14-16 per hour on average including their tips.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests.
• Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations.
• Takes names on a waiting list.
• Runs the floor plan iPad.
• Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
• Buses and resets tables.
• Takes guest information and estimate wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area.
• Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
• Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.
• Fills to-go orders, if applicable.
• Maintains restrooms throughout shift.
• Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently, wipes windows.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Positive and friendly attitude.
• Basic understanding of or the ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced stressful environment while remaining calm.

• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain personal hygiene.

Education and Experience:

• High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics preferred.
• Prior related experience preferred.
• Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen.
• Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours.
