Job Summary

Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests, by welcoming and warmly greeting guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes.

Leave your personal problems out the door and be ready to work with a smile once you pass through the door. SMILE, SMILE, SMILE...at everyone and greet everyone you pass. Thank people and invite them back when leaving
• You must come in complete uniform for your shift. This consists of a black shirt, dark blue jeans, long shorts or capris, black slip resistant shoes, black apron and hair pulled back. The only allowed accessories are: headband of one solid color 12 inch or less thickness, earrings (nose ring can be a small diamond or stud, clear,) no tongue piercings. Shirt must be tucked in. Long sleeve shirts can be worn. NO STAINS OR WRINKLES OR TEARS/DISTRESS JEANS
• Warmly and graciously greet all guests within 30 seconds of entry, and seat them promptly at tables or add to wait list and seat in waiting areas.
• Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible.
• Inform guests of their servers name upon seating.
• Record guest names and the number of people in party and provide guests with estimated waiting time when immediate seating is limited.
• Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.
• Locate waiting parties when tables become available using paging system.
• Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service or to make conversation.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls.
• Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management and expo to properly relay menu counts throughout shift
• Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper set up of tables
• Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and clean restrooms every thirty minutes.
• Communicate with other hosts on shift to relay when seating is available
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
• Complete Equipment ownership each shift and have it checked by management.
• Help servers pre-bus tables.
• Bus tables, clean and set up after each table leaves according to table standards. Never stick fingers in glass or hug glassware to body. Must use tray or bus tub if more than one trip is on the table
• Keep seating chart up to date using star and/or seating chart when busy.
• Change sanitation buckets out once an hour.
• Wipe down high chairs and booster seats after each use

• Take and prepare to-go orders.
• Operate cash registers to accept payments for to-go orders.
• Assist with preparing and serving food and beverages.
