JOB TITLE: Host
REPORTS TO: Assistant Food and Beverage Manager
POSITION TYPE: Part-Time/Variable Hour
PAY RATE: $15.74/hour+ tip

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum of 16 years old.
  • Ability to take direction and contribute to a team atmosphere.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately handle and balance cash and credit transactions.
  • Good listening, verbal communication skills, and phone etiquette.
  • Ability to provide quick service and maintain composure under stress.
  • Enthusiastic about serving the public with a consistent positive attitude.
  • Good grooming and personal hygiene.
  • Self-motivated: can find work to do without constant supervision.
  • A current Food Worker Card is required within 14 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must have the ability to become proficient at tray service.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for periods of 8 to 12 hours per shift.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, balance and carry various objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly during a shift.
  • Must be able to go up and down a full flight of stairs with loaded trays repeatedly for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces with multiple team members.

Essential Functions:

  • Ready the host stand by following procedures listed in job standards.
  • Be aware of special requests and seat guests according to availability.
  • Make a detailed and organized wait list when needed and accurately quote wait times.
  • Clean and re-set tables as guests leave and seat tables with a sense of urgency.
  • Be pleasant, friendly, courteous and sensitive to guests at all times.
  • Be knowledgeable about Campbell's services and history and Lake Chelan recreational opportunities to answer guests' questions.
  • Be aware of resort activities and reservations.
  • Act as a team member: show enthusiasm, help other wait staff, and watch the entire dining room to do what is needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of the menu and featured items.
  • Follow closing procedures listed in job standards.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a variable-hour position, expected work hours are based on seasonal volume, business demand, and hours of operation. Weekends and holidays are also necessary. Must be flexible and willing to adapt schedule to meet business demands.
