Vanguard Resources, Inc. / or its subsidiaries, an Industry-Leading Facilities Management Company, in operation 25+ years, are actively recruiting and have a need to hire a Hospital Life Safety Technician. This position requires 100% travel, with expenses paid. The ideal Candidate will reside in the DFW area in Texas. This is a temporary/ seasonal role, however while there is work to be done, may work 40+/- hours/schedule. This position is an hourly/non-exempt position and will be required to track ones' time.

The Hospital Life Safety Technician will review CAD-formatted architectural layout drawings to identify changes between as-built drawings and current conditions at large buildings. In this role, the Hospital Life Safety Technician will analyze CAD drawings and walk-through Health Care/hospital buildings to verify the accuracy of the drawings and identify discrepancies. The Hospital Life Safety Technician will work with building owners and drafting teams to correct any discrepancies.?
What You’ll Do…
- You’ll evaluate buildings within the following area: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Missouri, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Florida.
- You’ll provide on-site examinations of buildings to compare current structures/layouts to the AutoCAD architectural drawings on record.
- You’ll provide updates to existing AutoCAD architectural drawings in the form of notes, edits, and/or mark-up text.
- You’ll work effectively with others to create and maintain a team environment.
- You’ll interact with building owners and drafting teams to help correct discrepancies.
- May conduct Fire Door inspections
Required Educational and Professional Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience creating, modifying, and understanding AutoCAD architectural drawings
- Exhibit strong general knowledge of building structures
- Demonstrate the ability to define key measurements required for establishing building geometry
- Experience working and interacting well with others in a team effort
- Be a self-starter; require minimum oversight
- Excellent oral communication is required
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills are necessary
- Computer literate and proficient in preparing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents
- 100% Travel required - Must have the ability to meet routine travel assignments
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction
- Autodesk certification
- American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) certification
- Associates degree in Drafting, Design, or Architectural Design
Physical Demands/Requirements
- Physical demands require working in and around buildings, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, and lifting objects up to 50 lbs
