The Microbiology Senior Technologist will join a tight-knit, rural 100-bed community hospital. This facility is fully accredited through the Joint Commission and has received Golden Seals of approval for their hip and knee replacement programs. They are also accredited by the Commission on Cancer and recently completed a hospital expansion to include a brand new Health and Wellness center and a state of the art Medical Pavilion, the likes of which are normally found only in large metropolitan cities- all in rural Ohio!

The Microbiology Senior Supervisor will work with the Lab Director to recommend testing and instrumentation to the Medical Director Pathologist. The Senior Microbiologist will supervise laboratory colleagues and provide technical and managerial direction in order to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and to manage utilization of lab resources. This individual will be MLS-certified and be able to work technically in the microbiology department and thruoght the hosputal laboratory.

The Microbiology Supervisor will work alongside colleagues to help train and develop staff, update policies and procedures for the department, troubleshoot instrumentation, and be a member of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• ASCP Certification - Medical Laboratory Science (MLS)
• 2 years microbiology experience
• 2 years Supervisory experience in Microbiology
• Ability to work in other Laboratory departments, Generalist experience
