Winter Fun Festivals is currently seeking high energy character performers to interact with guests as they make their way through our immersive walkthrough experience. They will assist in telling the story and guiding guests along the way as Journey Guides for our upcoming Winter Fest OC event at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, November 25, 2022 - January 1,2023.

Video Submission Requirement:

Please film and submit a 30 second Monologue as a Whimsical Holiday Character who tells stories, gives directions and knows everything there is to know about the North Pole! Please include:

" Happy Winter Fest!"

"Welcome everyone! I am ______ And I will be your guide along the journey to gather the elements of the holidays!"

JOB DUTIES

• Entertains guests as a costumed character by bringing to life the story behind the event
• Meets venue standards for performance and conduct
• Maintains clear and concise lines of communication with appropriate personnel in all production matters.
• Is responsible for the daily maintenance of the costumes worn, including cleaning, brushing, etc.
• Must be great with improv and Crowd Interaction
• Must be comfortable performing in a full costume
• Performs role consistently for guests during several performance times per day, as assigned by event production
• Adheres to venues Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in employee guidelines and other venue specific policies and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Primarily outdoor event, exposed to heat, cold, humidity, and rain
• May be exposed to fog machines, cryo, loud noises, lasers, bright lights, etc...

Requirements

• Must maintain a high energy level
• Must be comfortable performing in full costume
• Experience with audience interaction in live events
• Theme park experience desired, but not required
• Ability to stand and be physically active for 5+ hours
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to professionally and calmly communicate and interact with all levels of management, staff, and guests in high pressure situations.
• Must have the ability to work extended/irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
• Must have open availability from November 07, 2022 - January 1, 2023
