Position Summary:

Brubaker Farms, LLC is seeking a full time herdsperson to join our team. To succeed in this position, an individual must learn to treat cows with care, effectively communicate and work with team members, and be willing to learn how to carry out responsibilities needed for proper cow care. Typical schedule expected should be 6am-3pm with adequate time off. Occasional earlier mornings and weekend availability needed. There would be opportunity for an individual in this position to work their way into a managerial role in the future.

Weekly Responsibilities May Include:

• Hoof trimming
• Vaccinating animals
• Operating skid loaders or other equipment
• Evaluating and treating animals
• Breeding cows
• Accurate record keeping

Position Qualifications:

• Exposure to agriculture and working with animals
• Enjoys working with animals and willing to learn and advance skills
• Effective communicator
• Experience breeding cows or willing to learn
• Experience running equipment such as skid loaders and small tractors or willing to learn
• High School Diploma (preferred)
