General Purpose: Development of new and existing store employees

Position Responsibilities:

• Teach, coach, and develop employees so they are proficient in their position
• Provide support and mentoring for team members, while conducting an evaluation and identifying area of improvements
• Train team members following Tijuana Flats procedures and standards
• Administer training reviews to new employees throughout the training process
• Collaborate with the store’s management team and Training Manager to identify ongoing training needs
• Monitors team members progress in School of Guac and completes training reviews as needed
• Constant communication with General Managers and Training Managers on progress of training
• Ensure compliance of all standards and procedures
• Constantly thinking of new training/operational ideas
• Constantly adapting training and communication styles to enhance training experiences on an individualize level for team members
• Ambassador of the Tijuana Flats brand and culture
• Champion of all Tijuana Flats methods and Innovative processes

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Certified as an in-store trainer at their home store OR if hired as an external candidate must be trained to the Trainer standard
• (1) year minimum experience working in a restaurant environment as a trainer
• Knowledge of Tijuana Flats training procedures and excels as an in-store trainer
• Consistently upholds Tijuana Flats procedures and standards
• Demonstrates the ability to lead fellow team members and is an active leader within their home store
• Passion for Training and development
• Proficient at evaluating and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects, and demands
• Proven ability to deliver engaging and compelling training for new hires and existing employees at their home store
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to motivate teams and projects positivity even when entering a challenging, high stress location
• Ability to maintain composure in high stress and intense environments, always remain calm and professional
