Healthcare Manager Job at Treasure Coast Hospice
This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of IT (information technology) and Informatics at Treasure Coast Hospice (TCH).
The Manager of IT & Informatics, works with all Informatics/IT staff as they support TCH’s users regardless of the application. Create a stable, secure and easily accessible network and ensure technology systems, for end users, are functional. The primary application is the TCH Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and the Manager is expected to have a clear understanding of how data flows through the EMR to other TCH applications. The Manager will work with vendors and staff to test, identify and trouble shoot problems including but not limited to: data integrity, system speed, user productivity and data integration.
Work with the VP of Philanthropy & Administrative Operations to envision a future state of the organization and to develop a plan and budget that will move the organization in that direction.
Ensure work product adheres to applicable regulatory and legal requirements including but not limited to HIPAA.
Qualifications:
- A combination 10+ year of IT experience, leadership, and education/certification required.
- Ability to manage multiple competing projects.
- Experience leading a team of Technicians
- Proficient with tech support ticketing systems
- Quickly understand how software applications need to interrelate across departments.
- Strong familiarity with:
- Cyber Security systems and requirements (RMM, EDR, MFA, VPN, etc.)
- User Provisioning (ideally Automated Provisioning)
- Servers, network and wifi trouble shooting.
- Single Sign On Experience (OKTA)
- Azure and Office 365 administration proficiency.
- Comfortable working with on premise as well as with cloud based systems.
- Phone systems & cellular networks
- Highly desirable:
- Healthcare Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience (ideally Netsmart)
- Healthcare experience (ideally hospice)
- Familiarity with report writing tools (Crystal), SQL, business intelligence applications and ETL tools beneficial.
- Experience working with outside service providers including internet providers, cell phone, printer, and managed services.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to solve problems effectively as they arise.
Key Result Areas:
- Maintain a stable and secure user onsite and remote network.
- Quickly and efficiently facilitate user provisioning tasks across IT infrastructure and business applications as needed.
- Oversee the creation of systems interfaces.
- Serve as a primary staff member in assessing and answering questions about new technology.
- Maintain fast, reliable and secure office and guest wifi and hardwire networks.
- Prepare annual Capital and Operating budgets for IT and Informatics.
- Ability to supervise a variety of staff with different technical roles and levels of expertise.
- Work with end users, managers and executives to solve current and forecast technical issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during IT or Informatics systems issues and incidents.
- Develop, review and modify IT and Informatics procedures and policies as necessary.
- Maintain a working disaster/incident response plan, for any potential cyber incident, for all systems and networks.
- Conduct and verify monthly maintenance checks for all servers.
- Tracks support tickets to understand problem areas for users and works with vendors, education, IT team members and TCH leadership to address.
- Achieves Organizational goals of IT and Informatics.
- Lead, develop and motivate self and employees with confidence, energy, integrity and resources.
- Maintain a high level of urgency, customer consciousness and service excellence.
- Participate as an active supporter of the Treasure Coast Hospice compliance program, including an emphasis to report, as well as comply with all Federal, State and Local laws as well as the organization’s compliance program. Serve on the organizations Compliance Committee quarterly.

Position will be categorized as category III (involves no routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids/tissues).
Working Conditions:
- Typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
- Sedentary – Exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary but walking, standing are required occasionally including capability to climb a ladder on rare occasions, and all other sedentary criteria met.
- The work is required to have close visual acuity such as/preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Additional Information:
Incumbent is required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster (man-made or natural) including evacuation sites. Incumbent will also be in On Call rotation and will be acting Tier3 support On Call 24/7/365. The person in the position will work in a smoke-free location, and is expected to adhere to all smoking restrictions.
