What You Will Do:
JOB SUMMARY: Provides oversight of healthcare data analytics to supply meaningful data and actionable insights that support decisions related to strategic goals in Quality outcomes and Providers Performance. Responsible for analyzing data, including but not limited to, clinical variation measures, Pay for performance measures, Quality Outcomes, Providers Profiles, and special projects through modeling, statistical analysis and management of status boards. Creates benchmarks and thresholds using statistical analysis; designs and implements analysis of data to facilitate strategic decision making related to clinical quality efforts and process optimization. Provides thorough and value-added analysis, along with insightful and relevant recommendations.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Education & Training: Bachelor’s Degree required in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Work Orientation & Experience: Minimum of five (5) years related experience in health care analytics, data mining, data analysis and interpretation, presentation and communication of findings. Years of experience can be substituted for relevant certifications.
Skills & Abilities: Proven communications skills – Effective at working independently and in collaboration with other team members. Capable of clearly presenting findings orally, in writing, or through graphics. Proven analytical skills – Able to gather, compare, contrast, and validate work with keen attention to detail. Skilled in working with “real world” data including scrubbing, transformation, and imputation. Experience with predictive modeling or machine learning techniques (regression analysis, association analysis, clustering, decision trees, etc.). Proven knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing (MS SQL Server, Vizient experience preferred) and healthcare EMRs (Meditech/Epic) including EPIC Workbench and Clarity Data Model. Proven ability to work with various statistical (R/Python) and data visualization (Tableau/PowerBI/Statit) software. Proven problem-solving skills – Able to plan work, set clear direction, and coordinate own tasks in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
