The South Shore Early Education Program of SSCAC Inc., a private non-profit, is seeking a Head Start Teacher for our Wareham learning center.

POSITION: Head Start Teachers - 30-35 hrs./41 wks. - Agency benefits apply, prorated.

Core Responsibilities:

Plan and implement all classroom activities that carry out the goals set forth in the Education Plan. Create and maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters students' physical, emotional and cognitive development. Perform teaching activities in accordance with the Head Start performance standards set forth in the regulations, while assuming a lead role in working with varying groups of children.
Meal assistance and other various activities as assigned. Develop daily lesson & curriculum plans.

Core Qualifications:

MA EEC Teacher certification. Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic, Spanish) helpful although not required. Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
BA/BS in Early Childhood preferred an AA Degree, or a completed CDA considered. MA EEC Lead Teacher certification is required. Valid driver’s license in good standing & must be at least 18 yrs. of age to apply
**_Minimum Requirements at employment: _**
All candidates must have a current medical certificate, MMR Documentation, TB test, statements of CORI/Background check, DCF background check including SORI and fingerprinting, and a completed employment application prior to beginning employment. Proof of COVID-19 vaccine upon hire.

Retention Bonus:

Competitive Pay-$20.06/hour-with EEC & BA/BS 52 wks., excellent benefits, and a new hire employee incentive of $500 after 90 consecutive days of employment.
