Position: HazMat and Chemical Compliance Analyst
JOB REF#: 1167530
Duration: 12+ Months (Contract with possible extension, potential to convert permanent ))
Location: REMOTE (Plano, TX)
Rate: Open/Market Rate (W2 Only)

This role is 100% remote, but must live with in 100 miles of Plano, TX.

A global company is seeking to hire a HazMat and Chemical Compliance Analyst to manage the Hazmat service parts to meet all regulatory requirements

PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Evaluate Reports daily to ensure proper Hazmat part/code management so the parts automatically drop to Regulatory database
  • Process daily queries, research and analyze parts prior to activation on all Hazmat, suspect Hazmat, TSCA-Hazmat part numbers to determine its classification, ensure applicable DOT, IATA and IMDG government regulatory information,
SDS and traffic codes are entered in systems
  • Interface with suppliers to obtain SDS and other required regulatory information for part activation.
  • Maintain SDS and regulatory document database as needed
  • Minimize any regulatory impact and ensure the integrity of the information is accurate and timely
  • Ensure internal & external adherence to all established processes and guidelines
  • Research problem part number issues
  • Monitor Chemical tables for accuracy
  • Develop additional controls as needed
  • Support internal and external customers
  • Working with the various groups throughout the company to handle requests to support our customers
  • Handle the addition, deletions and modification requests to the system flags for chemical parts to ensure they restricted and released as needed
  • Coordinate the acquisition of applicable SDS information from the suppliers & internal working groups to ensure accessibility to stakeholders who need it on request
  • Research SDS discrepancies with the manufacturer and the SDS management database
  • Approve regulated part number processing and tracking
  • Reviewing and analyzing paperwork which includes EDS's, SDS's and Export Certificates. and submission to EHS group
  • Compare generated query results to internal spread sheets, chemical tracking excels files and other sources to reconcile parts to ensure information is accurate and up to date. Identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Document (photos, descriptions, part numbers) all chemical products that are "branded", assess risk and compliance requirements
  • Lead problem resolution activities
  • Follow up with supplier liaisons for missing information and issues
